Hi all! FTM here, my little boy is 13 days old today I know it's still early days but from the hospital I was exclusively breastfeeding I've got quite large breasts so it was tricky getting to wraps with holding and latching and we get it most of the time the first time now, it just feels like he feeds and feeds and gets nothing even if my boobs feel full, he's been weighed a few times since we've been home from the hospital, he dropped from his birth weight which was 7 pounds 4 oz to 6 pounds 12 oz which is a 7.5% drop i know thats normal but he's putting it back on so so slowly so they weighed him 48 hours apart from each weigh, he went to 6 pounds 14oz and then another 48 hours and then weighed in at 6 pounds 15oz, midwives are just telling me to pump more which doesn't seem to be making a difference, I'm thinking of combo feeding to maybe help him put the weight on and have given him a few top ups of formula after he's fed on the boob, did anyone else have this issue? What did you do to help?
