Does anyone know when you are assessed from in SQE2 advocacy submissions… is it when the judge/examiner walks into the room or once you start talking?
Reason I ask is during my advocacy prep today the judge knocked on the door and came in but I thought they came in too early because I was looking at the time my advocacy submission ends, not the actual end of my prep time.
When the judge came in I was confused for like a little of 5 seconds saying ‘um’, ‘uh’ and ‘sorry’ in a confused manner before I realised I was looking at the wrong time on my timesheet. This happened before I made my first submissions and was during the judge walking in and sitting down for a second or two.
I thought my submissions went really well (hopefully haven’t jinxed myself saying this) so I’m kind of annoyed about that stupid mistake of mine. Do you think this will affect my grade or will I only be assessed from when I said ‘may it please the court…’?
