Would like to build a home server for my high speed internet. Currently I have 10gig speed and would like to set it up for my gaming and im thinking about doing the family media thing as well. Sharing streaming with family and all that good stuff. Was thinking about a 14900k or 13900k, and a motherboard that corresponds obviously. Maybe 8 or 16gb ram?

Do i even need a chip that expensive? I've seen people using i3 and i5 chips. Are intel chips my only route? Please help so i can get started and have the option to do more and upgrade as time goes.
