I don’t get it. Why would you pay to use a separate lane going the same speed as the rest of traffic? Are we really so spoiled with KC’s lack of traffic that some people can’t even deal with a few cars in the left lane? Or do you just enjoy the novelty? I’m honestly curious.

Based on what I’m reading on here, I actually am fairly lucky. I had my first stone at 52 years old this weekend and it took about 36 hours from the start of the pain until it passed. But at two different times the pain was basically more than I could bear.

Saturday late afternoon and Sunday night.

Just as they were about to give me morphine at the ER on Saturday it finally let up a little bit. Then on Sunday, I had a minor flareup followed by a continuous three hour spasm that almost sent me to the ER several times. Then the pain surged and I thought I was going to faint or throw up and I asked my wife to take me back to the ER. But that pain was evidently the stone finally passing into my bladder. I peed it out about 30 minutes later.

Anyway, my question is: with that ordeal over how long does it normally take to get your energy back after going through that? I’ve read it can take several days to feel your normal energy level return. That surprised me. So I just wanted to see what y’all had to say.
