Part 91 insurance

How crazy does this seem? So recently was going to get hired as sic on a encore for a part 91 company all it had to do was get approved by insurance; on the original policy it said Comm multi, approved by chief pilot and sent to training course. So my woulda been boss even laid out this plan for me to do an encore ground school before hand and they were gonna pay for me to get instrument current in a multi as well. So they have the insurance meeting and apparently my company had a 100 million dollar policy limit and the insurance decided they wanted 1500TT, 750 multi, and 250 Jet, as well as 50 in make and model. Does this seem crazy to anyone else?? Completely bummed out as this was my dream company and I have a great relationship with the pilots

Can I go ahead and assume I would be a named sic pilot here for insurance ? I cleaned planes and hangar for this Fortune 500 company in flight school and college and they gave me a call about a pilot opening as sic on citation encore. They have a meeting with the insurance this week to discuss but I know he has already told me they wanted multi turbine time which I don’t have. I’m currently at 1150 Pic but only 15 multi. It seems like being a named pilot is my only chance of being approved but how much extra would that cost the company rather then just hiring off the street? Also - me and the chief pilot have maintained a good relationship while I’ve been building time and visit frequently and he has also mentioned that his superiors are full on board for hiring me since they all knew me when they would come in for flights.

Can an insurance company change their sic minimum policy? Was informed for the company I’m trying to get hired at the requirements were - obviously comm multi , approved by chief pilot and sent to type rating course. Now he’s saying they are trying to add in previous turbine time as well. Can they do this ? For reference part 91 encore sic at a very well known company
