Ruptured eardrum
Hi,
I ruptured my eardrum. My doctor said it was a bad rupture. I also have an infection of the inner ear, outer ear and canal. I'm an endurance swimmer so no stranger to your average ear infection but this is a different level. I've been able to tolerate the pain though it's been really bad at times but the nausea will not stop.
I don't even understand why I have nausea because I haven't had any sort of balance problems. No vertigo at all. That said, I've had permanent nausea for the last 48 hours since it happened. Even before the REALLY bad pain started. I've already tried over the counter gravol, ginger and green tea. Is there anything that will really actually help with this nausea or is it a total lost cause.
I'm a 40 year old female. 180 lbs but athletic. I'm training for a 30k right now. Lift weights and do circuit type training a few times a week on top of swimming. Non smoker. I typically have problems with my iron. Either deficiency or full blown anemia. I take over the counter iron supplements because I can tolerate them but I get injections every couple years when it drops a lot. I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada. I drink from time to time but not on a regular basis. Maybe once a month. Sometimes more than that. No photo. The outer part of my ear is just pink and part of it is swollen. Thanks for any help!
