Lump appeared on side of calf/knee

38 F here and just discovered this subreddit. I was diagnosed with a DVT behind my knee of the left leg back in 2023. I have been on Eliquis since then because of some of the other meds I’m taking. I went through the process of breaking up that clot and getting routine ultrasounds to confirm for a year.
Last night before bed I noticed some swelling on my calf not quite behind my knee on the right leg. I sleep with it elevated, there is some pain when. You lightly press on it and this morning some bruising is present. I can feel most likely a vein under that spot with my fingers, and I have had varicose veins around the area for a few years.
I am seeing a new doctor on June 2nd but I have both leg ultrasounds on the May 21st, I’m debating just calling the office on Monday and seeing if we can get those earlier, instead of me going to the ER. Thoughts?
