Hello everyone, I'm in the process of building a custom laptop. I paid $99 for the motherboard and $100 for the screen assembly, power button, charger, etc.

It's an i7-9750H with an RTX 2070 Max-Q. I was originally planning to get a motherboard with an RTX 4060M, but I missed a good deal, so I went with this setup.

The main point is that I want more performance. Does anyone have experience overclocking an RTX 2070 Max-Q or other rtx 2000max q? This GPU only has 4 VRMs, so it looks almost impossible, but I still have some hope.

Cooling is not a problem — I built a kind of Frankenstein setup with original heatsink and CPU heatsinks.

This project is really exciting for me. I've seen laptops with desktop CPUs, mini PCs built from laptop motherboards, and even Raspberry Pi PCs — but not many “Frankenstein” laptops like this.

I'll post some photos of the project tomorrow.
