Honda Accord 4 cyl 2009 - Issues
Just to start with the history of this car.
Is pretty reliable and for the year it gives a good kick thanks for the VTEC (which ironically is that specific tech that makes oil consumption the worse nightmare).
I like this car and stuff but i literally tried to go to so many places to get plates and registration in the state of new york. But since is salvage… It have to go through a salvage inspection. Which (again) ironically the car is registered with the state of NJ (MVC) and they told me that it shouldn’t be any issue to register and get plates for this car. Moreover, it passed the emission inspection in 2025.
On top of this.
The VTC Actuator is rattling in cold start, when driving 60 mph the steering wheel starts to wiggle and even i feel it on the gas pedal, needs new tires (tires are from 2016), it has 95K miles and the gas prices are going up like crazy…
This car it was my dad’s. But it was with the papers from my uncle since my uncle is a citizen and my dad it isn’t.
At the end i’ll just give it back to him and see in the future if i could get another car with a far less issues.
If anybody knows at least something by this coming week if there’s anything i could do to get it registered in NYS. Would be cool. If not. Then that car it isn’t for me.
