I got costo end of last year from deep weighted dips and pull ups. Been dealing with it for the past 4 months. Saw a physical therapist for it along with a pinched nerve between my L4 L5, didn't help it at all.

Not sure if this tip has been shared or not but this method has healed my costo, pretty much instantly. I use a backpod to basically crack out my rib cage. My costo started on my right side of my sternum, so I would align the backpod between my spine and right shoulder blade and then apply pressure by lifting my butt and crack out my rib cage in 3 spots. Top, middle and bottom. Pain went away immediately and I'm back in the gym pain free. Hopefully this helps someone.
