I’m trying to remember the name of a software I saw a few years ago (2015-2020, I think). I believe it was in an early or experimental stage of development. I’m not sure if it ever had a full official release. I believe it had a trial or something already.
The idea was to switch between 2D and 3D drawing modes. In the 3D mode, you could build structures in space. On 2D mode, you would draw directly on top of those structures, not sure if free-hand or pixel-art.
It was definitely a standalone application, not a plugin for another software like Blender. It may have been inspired by existing tools, but it felt like its own thing rather than a fork or extension.
I also remember the interface being very minimalistic, possibly with a mostly white UI and some blue (though that could have just been the theme). I also remember a yellow (or blue?) vintage Sony walkman on a demo (I hope I'm not mixing things up).
It was definetly artistic, not CAD. I also don't think it used voxels, there were no explicit cubes at least.
It is NOT:
- Blender or Grease Pencil (It's similar)
- MagicaVoxel
- Qubicle
- Crocotile 3D
- Dust3D
- penzil.app
Edit: Add missmatches.
