So I’m going to an event/skateboarding meet tomorrow ran by this really cool charity organization for indigenous people, and I’m wondering just overall how I’m supposed to get ready for it??
I’m gonna go outside and practice today obviously, prob focus on ollie drills and learning switch, considering the only trick I know is the strawberry milkshake (even then, I tend to not be able to do it very consistently in motion). I can technically Ollie (as in I have the motion and feel down, I just struggle to get the courage to do it without holding onto something. I still can’t tictac but I think I’m doing pretty okay with learning to pivot, it’s mostly the fear I gotta get over tbh

I bought knee pads (my mom forced me to get some after I fucked up my knee, mostly cuz I’m disabled and not a teenager, so she worries I’m gonna mess up my body again), I’m gonna bring a mini first aid kit, water, a tool, and my trick wheels. Anything else I should do?? I was thinking of trinna wash my bearings but idk considering I don’t wanna lose or ruin my bearings before the event,

Thoughts and or advice??
