I’ve been dealing with what I suspect is HS for about 2 years now in my bikini area. It’s been so incredibly difficult to work through the pain and not being able to walk normally when it gets bad. I’ve been to a doctor about it twice now and they were both hesitant to say it was HS, they kept insisting it was an infected ingrown hair and to use heat, leave it alone, stop shaving, etc and that it would go away. I’ve done everything they’ve said and it’s only gotten worse. It’s beginning to tunnel to other places further into my groin and I feel so hopeless. It’s to the point where I’m scared that if I go to get it lanced or whatever the procedure may be, it’ll “ruin” what my bikini area looks like. I guess it’s better than not dealing with it but I just can’t get over how much simpler it would have been to deal with if I’d been listened to when I went to the doctor the first time.
