I feel from my own experience that blink albums age like wine. When Untitled (album) came out, i was not a fan. It's grown on me since then. Neighborhoods came out and I bought it day 1. Not a fan. I love them both now, but it took me some time to wrap my head around the new styles.

Some perspective, I was introduced to blink in 1998, Dammit was huge for me. The skate punk era is dear to me for a multitude of reasons. Every subsequent release has had a level of evolution that I've needed time to come to understand and love in their own ways.

That said, I've literally grown with these guys, as it's better older I feel like I better understand the feelings and events in the songs on a more personal level.

Some things like divorce and personal loss, and unrequited love i understood from day 1.

But the major style changes and essentially genera redefining releases have needed some time for me to grow to love as much as I love the early stuff.
