So I had my new build perfect.
Every solder joint, shiny and propotional to its neighbor.
Every part chosen for its complimentary nature to the whole.
As I was finishing betaflight flashing and setup, the last step was the motors, so I grabbed two 300 1s batteries (2s 2" build) I paused, realizing that I should do the spark test with the vifly short plug. It was on the table 10 feet away from where I sat comfortably....
I knew I had triple checked every connection so I proceeded. The startup sound was a little off, but motors were spinning. As I diagnosed one stutter, I began to see smoke. X(
So unwilling to give up and throw a 4th board into my scrap pile.... I went full retard and winged it with a crazy method I wasnt sure would work.
Grinding from the opposite side since I have no hot plate or blower.
Got it off but it pulled a bit from beneath. I got lucky it was a separated part from the rest of the layer I found later on...
