Looking for ANY suggestions managing a HUGE shopify store
Years ago, the company I work for hired someone to build our website. I don't want to give away too many details, but we are a huge reseller/partner to several large manufacturers in the tech industry. We sell THOUSANDS of products. For context, we are only authorized to sell certain products/brands on Amazon and we have well over 5,000 products listed there. Our website is fair game. We can and should list everything, so we're talking in the 10's of thousands.
Because of this, our website creator took FOREVER to get everything up and running but he completed it and passed it along to us and it's beautiful. Despite passing it along to us, we've hired him a few more times to update products/pricing, add pages, fix things, etc.
Unfortunately, he recently passed and we have not found someone new. I handle all our other ecommerce sales and have decided to take on this task. Everything's built out, so all that needs to be regularly done is updating products/pricing. I do this on Amazon regularly and have a great system.
Here's the problem..... there does not seem to be a simple way to do any of this on shopify. Our products and pricing is SO out of date that any orders we do get almost always end up cancelled. The spreadsheets to upload new product/make changes are so overwhelming. I've spent so much time on chatgpt trying to figure out the quickest and easiest solutions and nothing.
I'm looking for any assistance. Youtube videos, articles, free platforms. Because it's not generating any revenue at the moment, we're not interested in investing in any kind of platform that would automate it, yet. Also, I'm not the person that makes that decision, so any suggestions to throw money at it aren't going to help me. Any help is so greatly appreciated. Thanks!
