CPA Prep Course for Someone 15 Years Out of School?

Hi everyone - I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

I graduated with an accounting degree 15 years ago and have been working in corporate accounting/finance (FP&A, month-end close, sales tax, project accounting). I also have an MBA. I finally decided to go for the CPA and I’m finishing my last class for CPA licensing in May. Now I’m trying to figure out which study path I should take.

My situation:

- Don’t remember much of the academic/theory side

- Some real-world experience

- Work full-time and have a family (spouse + 3 young kids)

- A good mobile app would be helpful

I’m considering UWorld, Becker, and Surgent.

For those out of school for a while:

- What course worked best for you and why?

- Did you need more teaching or just practice questions?

- How important was the mobile app?

- Anything you wish you did differently starting out?

Any insight is appreciated - especially from those balancing work and family. Thanks!
