I check my bank account today and it said I got charged $56 for an annual fee on top of a monthly fee of $26. When I called the gym to see why I’m getting charged like this the “Manager” told me it was an annual fee of $56 but when I asked why I’m getting charged annually on top of monthly, the guy just laughed, and said “idk what do you want me to do?”

Is this normal? Is anyone else getting double charged like this?

Edit: Thanks for the responses! Even though I might look silly I’m at least relieved it’s normal. For hindsight, I don’t think anyone likes a manager laughing when you’re just asking questions lol
