How often do y’all marathon the franchise, if at all?

About a month or so ago I decided to start a full blown marathon of the mainline AC games, mainly because I just felt the urge to do it since it’s been a long since did a full playthrough of some of these games (you could also say I’m celebrating the release of Resynced). So far, and I wanna stress so far since I’m currently at Revelations, I’m having a lot of fun playing through these games back-to-back while doing all the side-quests (or at least the majority of side-quests since I did none of AC2’s side activities nor am I doing all the side content in Rev). I’m having so much fun that I’m actually planning on making this marathon a recurring thing if I’m in the mood for it (not yearly though I’m not that mad 😅). This got me thinking, how often do y’all marathon the AC games and if you do what exactly do you do? Do you do them all back-to-back, or do you only play a set of them? Curious to see what y’all have to say.

I feel like Ubisoft just needs to say “screw it” and show off Black Flag Resynced publicly already.

This gets into rumor/leak territory for a bit, but it’s still important to mention this. For a while now we’ve been hearing from insiders lile Tom Henderson and NateTheHate (two very reliable insiders/leakers) that not only was April going to be the month where we get to officially see this remake, but it would be today on April 16th when we get to see it. Things took a turn when yesterday both of these guys updated their rumors by saying that what apparently is actually happening today is an embargoed media event where journalists (and I believe content creators) get to see the game behind closed doors and that the public reveal would actually be next week (not the exact wording, you can look up a post from the gamingleaksandrumors sub for what they said).

Obviously it’s a bummer that we probably won’t get to see it today and serves as another lesson to not always trust leakers, even if they are really reliable a majority of the time, but this leads to a bigger “issue” regarding this game. Ubisoft should’ve just officially revealed it by now. We’ve known about the existence of Resynced for a long while jow. It’s the worst kept secret under Ubisoft. We’ve heard as well that we were supposed to see it earlier in the year, but because of Ubisoft’s turmoils that got pushed back to apparently the Summer. They already went out of their way to reveal the game via an artwork that could be mistaken for the OG Black Flag, but now we’re just in this tired waiting game for a game we know exists.

I get that there’s probably marketing plans they set in place, but it’s high-time we get to see it. If there is a media event today, why not just reveal it today as well? Either way it shouldn’t have taken this long to see the game.

Mini rant over hehe.
