Hot take but by definition, this is the gayest season
First of all, the plushie of Luna that White Fox got, Luna is making a kissy face towards her, and the animation that plays features her putting up a little heart. This is a very interesting choice especially when Ami and Lin are a couple in the comics. An additional layer with the plushie is the flavor text of “Even the coolest secret agent, like White Fox, can't help but melt when she hears Seol Hee's pure, beautiful voice. Ami's claws protect the world, but it's Luna Snow who can melt the ice in her heart.” Personally I can’t think of a heterosexual explanation for this. Luna and Ami are practically flirting in like a grumpy and sunshine way, and they have a team up together in which Luna uses the Kumiho by making a heart with her hands.
The skins in the first half are kinda debatable because while yes they did slut up the men quite a bit but tbh I think claiming that makes it “gay” is kinda lame in the sense that it feels like people think it’s for the male gaze specifically. But idk maybe I’m too woke
Black Cat also flirts with Angela, which (unless I’m forgetting someone) is the only woman she outright flirts with. It ain’t much but it shows that they acknowledged her bisexuality.
I just really want to know like what were y’all expecting? Like yeah I wish we got more, I’d love it if we got a Sera plushie for Angela, a Deadpool and Wolverine team up, maybe a Storm and Jean Team up. I wish the queer characters got as much stuff as the not queer characters too. But Miller Ross didn’t lie this is the most gay season out of the seasons we’ve had. Like I will say he probably should have phrased it slightly different than how he did because yeah Marvel Rivals will always be coy about queer characters/relationships due to them being owned by Disney and NetEase being based in china.
