A human face merged in a wall.

This seems new to Kane's backrooms series. What is the backrooms trying to "create" or copy here?

After playing the game, I wondered what I would do if I was Hugh. Would I sacrifice myself to save Diana? If she was an actual human child, I would save her without a doubt. But a robot child like Diana?

Let's assume that Diana from the game Pragmata is an advanced AGI, does that mean that she is sentient or has some form of consciousness? Does she have any legit, genuine feelins or emotions? Or is it all just programmed? Is everything she says and does and the way she expressed herself, just a result of an algorithm?

Is she just a Philosophical Zombie? A Philosophical Zombie is a being that is physically and behaviorally identical to a human, but completely lacks conscious experience or inner awareness. Meaning it ACTS like its conscious and has emotions, but actually has the self-awareness of a rock, and it's all just algorithms. Like a very convincing actor who feels nothing. How would you even prove she has genuine feelings?

Knowing this, I wonder what I would do in such situation. I might create a bond with her, even though she is "just a robot", but because she looks and acts so much like a real child, I likely (and naturally) would develop protective feelings over her. So in the end It might not matter if I see her as conscious or not, my subconscious might just want to save this innocent child no matter what. I might feel like I am responsible to save her.

As part of an argument to save Diana, i would say that you don't know for sure whether she has some consciousness, or is just a P-zombie. So in a scenario of self-sacrifice, I would say that it's better to be safe than sorry, meaning saving her in case she truly has real feelings.
