New York, April 17. - (AP) - The shyness which Krao, ultra-feminist bearded lady of the side shows overcame for 30 years to turn misfortune into prosperity holds sway with her death. Krao, known in the circus as the "Missing Link," died yesterday of influenza, leaving instructions that her hairy body be cremated, because it could no longer be exhibited.

>New York, April 17.--Preparations for re-entering high school are being made by Mrs. Frances Heenan Browning between her honeymoon shopping tours on Fifth Avenue to buy gowns and other fineries which are being lavished upon her by her "Cinderella man," who is a wealthy real estate broker.

>Former girl schoolmates in the textile high school stared in wonder and clustered about the school girl bride in awesome groups, admiring her finery, when she drove to the school yesterday in Browning's azure automobile—and arranged for her transfer to the Haldane high school at Cold Spring, N. Y., near the 10-room honeymoon house leased by Browning. The attention of the boy students centered on the expensive automobile and the liveried footman outside the school building. To both boys and girls, it was the Cinderella legend come true.

>After transfer of the school papers had been arranged, the 15-year-old bride, accompanied by her mother and a friend, drove to some of the larger department stores on Fifth Avenue. Curious women and girls followed her as she looked at frocks.

>While Mrs. Browning was dining at the Hotel Commodore at noon Mr. Browning was having a ham sandwich, a piece of pie and a cup of coffee at the counsel table in the municipal court, where he was interested in a case brought by one of his realty companies. He did not go out to lunch because of the crowds outside the court room.

>CHICAGO, April 16.—Ten rules for getting rid of a husband were given by Mrs. Ruth J. Maurer, head of a national chain of beauty schools, in an address at the Illinois Hair Dressers' Association convention.

1. Use alkaline soap. Use various bleaching compounds and poor hair dyes.
2. Avoid the use of creams and never use any cream before applying powder.
3. Insist on being natural. Refuse to use powder.
4. Expose yourself to the sun and wind. Use lye soap, always scrubbing vigorously, thus leaving the skin dry and harsh.
5. Play golf, tennis or take long motor rides without a hat.
6. Never use sun glasses. Squint and scowl instead.
7. Drink highballs, cocktails and synthetic gin

9. Keep late hours. Turn night into day. Make it a rule to play cards and dance every night until nervously exhausted.
