I think I have been playing way wrong!
hey everyone!
so I am a few games, like 10 or so, and starting to understand the game more. I think I have gotten some significant thing wrong. can someone help me out?
1.) when you use emergence on a unit turns out that is on the hero phase, not the movement phase. does that mean the unit can move as normal?
2.) does battle damage on a magmadroth lower the attacks from 6 to 4 or raise the attacks from 4 to 6? I have been playing it raises to 6 for some reason. I think because of the way the prayer wrath of vulcatrix is written When I first started I assumed you get stronger with more damage.
3.) With the SoG runeson on magmadroth, does the +1 damage from fire, blood, and vengeance make the runefathers attacks stronger or the SoG runeson +1 damage?
4.) I still have no idea why anyone would take broad axes over pole axes and sling shields over fyresteel weapons. whats the point of a battlesmith? Seems terrible. Same with a doom seeker or a runes on foot. What am I missing? Is it something along the lines of “those heroes just aren’t that good so no one takes them” sort of thing we have going on?
edit: 5.) can manifestations use command points like for power through or reroll a charge? I never have but I just saw something that made me think otherwise.
please help and if there are general rules that I am missing or other things that are super confusing please let me know.
