I know people have run into this one b/c I've found a bunch online about it but no solutions, and the Apple advisors are stumped it seems.

I have a new computer that I bought a few months ago, and the old one is across the room, both on the same network. On both my old computer and this new one, home sharing used to work perfectly fine. I'm signed into my apple account on both the Apple TV and both computers. The orange computer app on the Apple TV finds my library (the library that's on my new computer w/ songs that are all on an external drive hooked to that computer), but when I try to play something, it just does the wheel spin forever. When I add an album to my library, it does show on the Apple TV app, but it still won't play. It used to play everything up until what *I think* was some sort of update, either on the eero or computer, I can't remember.

But my thought is that it has something to do w/ my old computer still being on the same network - except it still doesn't work when the old computer is shut down. Plus I've turned off file sharing on my old one. So it's pointed at the right computer and finding everything there, just not actually playing when click on something.

I had my Plex server connected to my old computer and every time I dropped an album in the watched folders, it would show up on my Apple TV, no problem. Everything was synced and everything was perfect. All my music and movies were on an external drive attached to my old cmp.

Several months back, I got a new cmp and moved the old one over to my desk across the room. Now I had everything set up on my new computer and everything was running smoothly (plex, the server, whatever). But now, sometimes when I open Plex on my Apple TV, it wouldn't show all the new things I've added since the new computer, because I think it's looking at the old computer instead. Basically, on the Apple TV, it reverts back to the same point in time when I swapped the old computer for the new.

Is there a way to have the Apple TV use only the Plex on my new computer? Not sure I'm asking that right. Basically I want it stop looking at my old computer and reverting back to that point in time.

2nd question is - if all my Plex content is connected to an external drive on my new computer, can I somehow have my old computer across the room mirror it when I sign in since it's on the same network? I'd love to open Plex on my old computer and have the same libraries/access that the new computer has. Again, not sure I'm asking that right.

Thanks in advance, I don't know much about this stuff.
