What's up with the Goomba King and the goombas lore?
I always wondered about the Goomba King from Paper Mario 64. He seems pretty important. If Bowser is the King of the Koopas, then the King of the Goombas seems pretty underrated.
So the goombas are usually enemies of Mario, except for Goomba Village which likes Mario, and the Goomba King lives right near Goomba Village, but he doesn't like Mario for some reason and is suspicious of him so he destroys the bridge and tries to stop Mario from advancing. He lives in a "fortress" that is actually really small if you think about it, next to the "Goomnut Tree" and he has two guards that are called "the notorious Goomba Bros." After you defeat him >!you realize he has a button that destroys his entire fortress for some reason, and then you pretty much never see him again tho!< lol.
