My JZX100 Mark II!
It's a Grande 2.5 (1JZ-GE) from 1996 that I imported from Suriname to the Netherlands. She is a little rough around the edges and far from done, but a pure joy to own and drive.
After a lengthy (and cumbersome) import process, I have owned this car for roughly 4 years and have been driving it for roughly 1,5 years.
So what has been done?
- Lowered on HSD coilovers 18k/12k
- Cusco camber FUCA
- a lot of replacing worn bushings and parts
- s2 rear conversion
- custom dual exit rear muffler
- Blitz BRW 08 18"x9,5" ET30
- Replica OE style aero
- self painted two-tone in a horse barn somewhere environmental police won't show up
- factory Mark II C-pillar badges
- a built-in Playstation 2 signed by Sung Kang
- black housing headlights
What plans are on the horizon?
- the obvious 1JZ-GTE swap, but unsure of what figures I want to eventually push. Very likely keeping the gte stock for a good while
- debating between a standard 5 or 6 speed manual swap or an 8hp swap
- Cusco LSD (and the needed Tourer axles)
- Rays Volk GT-V
- full aftermarket suspension arms
- stiffening the car with a rear sway bar, front strutbar and possibly stiffer front springs
- shortening spindles and getting RCA
- a lot of bodywork
- hopefully a Traum bodykit
- new paint
- plus the never ending list of things you want to do to a passion project
This has been my "achievable" dream car since I got my license nearly 10 years ago, so it feels amazing to own it and drive it and can't wait to keep messing with it until it's completely to my liking!
