Our priorities:
Swimmable beach
Modern, clean rooms
Good, consistent food
Adults-only / honeymoon vibe
Some nightlife, but not party-heavy
Relaxed atmosphere

Punta Cana/DR -
Secrets Royal Beach
Excellence El Carmen
Majestic Mirage

Jamaica -
Azul Beach Resort Negril
Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay
Ocean Eden Bay

If you’ve been to any of these, which would you pick and why? Would you go back? I’m also open to other suggestions if they fit our vibe.

Tower Isle is a top contender for our honeymoon. However I've seen some reviews that there is not much night life, and the resort is dead quiet by 10pm. We are not big partiers by any means, but we like to stay up a little late on vacation, have some drinks/snack, listen to music, etc. Can anyone provide some insight on the night life aspect? This is really the only "downside" I've seen for us with Tower Isle!

Hello! My husband and I are looking for an all inclusive honeymoon destination in either Jamaica or DR. Our top needs are a clear beach for swimming, modern rooms, and decent nightlife/shows. We’d prefer adults only but it’s not a deal breaker. Sandals is out of our budget so we are looking for other options that fit our needs. Our top choices right now are Couples Tower Isle and Excellence El Carmen. If anyone has any recent reviews, suggestions or recommendations, I’d appreciate it!

Hi everyone! We’re looking for recommendations for either Punta Cana or Jamaica. Sandals is a bit out of budget for us so looking for something a little more affordable. We’re looking for a nice beach for swimming, nightlife/activities without being too “spring break”, and preferably more modern rooms. We’re currently looking at Couples Tower Isle, Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites, JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar, Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, and Dreams Cap Cana. If anyone has any experiences with any of these or any other resort that fits what we’re looking for, I’d appreciate it so much! We don’t get to travel much so we’re trying to make it perfect 😊 thanks everyone!
