First time solo trip to LM

Hi everyone! I have been lurking around this subreddit for a while, but it’s finally time for me to post because I could really use some support and advice from people who know Le Mans better than I do 🥹
Long story short: my grandpa goes to Le Mans every single year and absolutely loves it. Unfortunately, he has become too unwell to go this year. My uncle had gifted him a basic hospitality ticket, and since my grandpa knows how much I enjoy motorsport, he decided to transfer the ticket into my name so I could go in his place. Apparently the process of changing the name on the ticket was an absolute nightmare, so I really didn’t have the heart to refuse and honestly I am incredibly grateful, even if I’m also a little overwhelmed!
I’m a huge Formula 1 and NASCAR fan, but truthfully most of my Le Mans knowledge comes from my grandpa, and the videos and reading material from this subreddit’s wiki. Beyond that, I very much have no idea what to expect.
This will also be my first ever solo trip. I’ll likely be driving down from the UK on Tuesday and staying in an Airbnb that was originally booked for my grandpa, around 15 minutes from the circuit. His ticket also includes parking.
I am genuinely so excited to experience this event, especially because it means so much to him, and I’m heartbroken he can’t be there himself. But at the same time I’m also really anxious. I feel like I have no idea what to expect, how to manage my time there, or even what the general atmosphere is like when you’re there alone for the first time.
Does anyone have any advice beyond the great wiki and guides already posted here? Especially from people who have done Le Mans solo before, or any women who have attended alone. Is there anything I should know, avoid, prepare for, or be careful about? Especially during the night stint? Should I actually be concerned about safety at all, or am I overthinking it?
Thank you in advance for any advice or reassurance, I think my nerves are just catching up with my excitement a little 💛
