I know this might seem like a silly thing to ask in a Cayman subreddit but I just want some honest advice.
I would love to own a Porsche, and the Cayman seems like a great entry point (not too keen on the Boxster look)
I have found a nice 2006 base model 2.7L, with a new clutch and IMS bearing replacement being carried out recently. It's going to be around £11,000.
I am caught between two minds of saving my money and keeping it invested (my brain) and owning an amazing looking Porsche that I will cherish (my heart)
You only live once right? I am pushing 30 and have never really owned anything lavish or expensive.
Part of me worries about it being a money pit if anything goes wrong but I am trying to rule that out with a good vehicle check beforehand.
I am leaning heavily towards doing it, but I would appreciate any advice right now!
