Hello everyone! Few days back I opened Flipkart to finally order a PS5, but it was out of stock. After a few days I started hearing news about a possible price hike and since then I’ve gone absolutely bonkers about owning a PS5.
I live in a small town, so offline stores aren’t really an option — I have to buy online only, and No Cost EMI would be ideal. Also, I only want the Disc version.
Here’s what I’m overthinking:
1. I’m hoping to get it at 55K or less during festive season offers (BBD, Diwali, Black Friday, etc). What would you do in my place? There’s no official announcement about a price hike in India, so part of me feels it’s just hype. But what if I wait and can’t secure one later because of pricing, stock issues, or heavy demand due to GTA 6?
2. There’s a newer PS5 Slim variant (2116) with matte finish, 825GB SSD and a few small changes. I honestly don’t want that one 😢 What if that’s the only stock that starts showing up later?
3. Should I consider preowned? I’m very skeptical about condition and longevity, and I feel I’d keep panicking if something went wrong.
What would you do in my situation?
Ideally I’d love to get one in July (birthday month), or maybe August (Independence Day), otherwise October/November.
Also… did you guys check out the Icon Blue controller? It’s peak. But I doubt it’ll launch here, so I might go for the Cobalt Blue as a secondary DualSense instead.
