I have an old Jacuzzi brand sand filter (Lazer model unknown, from 2008-came with the pool when I bought the house). It has a pretty sizeable crack in the inner workings and it seems that it has worked itself large enough I get some water flow where it’s not supposed to be forming a bypass. My question is with a filter that old I can’t find an exact OEM replacement. Is this something where a generic multiport valve that is the same size and fitting type can be plugged in or am I going to have to replace the whole filter?
