- Daniel Jackson, Ph.D, Stargate Franchise, Linguist, Anthropologist, Archaeologist, and Egyptologist, while dismissed as an ”Ancient Alien” crackpot, his theory that the pyramids of Egypt were created by aliens posing as the gods those people worship, and his expertise in linguistics and anthropology proved invaluable to the Stargate program.
- Dr. Ryland Grace, Project Hail Mary, Molecular Biologist, hands on experience with Xenobiology and Astronautics, this is what I would consider the trope being played with, because while he was recruited into Project Hail Mary because of his theory that alien life might not require water, and the alien organisms he studies, Astrophage and Rocky turn out to be water based proving his theory incorrect, he becomes the worlds foremost expert in Astrophage and his scientific knowledge and inter species collaboration with Rocky was instrumental to saving both Earth and Rocky’s Homeworld Erid.
