Best friend suddenly doesn’t want to be friends anymore?
So we’re seniors in high school. Graduation is in like two weeks, and I’ve noticed my best friend has started to shoot down all ideas of hanging out over the summer, even ones we’ve planned for months. He hung out with me like every other day after school, but now doesn’t seem to want to at all during the summer. I think it is because he wants to spend all of his time not working with his girlfriend, but I mean, friends matter a lot too. I’m going to college out of state, so I’m trying to get in all the fun I can with my high school friends this summer, but I’d be lucky to catch him. It just really hurts cause it feels like he doesn’t care about me. I asked him what was up, and he said it wasn’t personal and he just didn’t like hanging out. I don’t really know how one could not like hanging out but whatever. I have plenty of other friends, so I’ll be fine, but it just hurts that my best friend doesn’t want to see me. I just need help with ways to cope with this, because I have nonstop been thinking about it the past few days.
