Warmer or bassier sounding open back recommendations
Hey, I am looking for a new pair of open back headphones that have a warmer sound profile. I live in Canada and would like to spend about $350 CAD. I am willing to possibly spend up to $450 if there are much better options in this price range.
Currently, I own a pair of Sennheiser HD560s, and a pair of Airpods pro 2. I have had the HD560s for just over 2 years now. I really enjoy them when listening to genres like 70s rock, and jazz, but find them very fatiguing, and overall not so enjoyable when listening to hip-hop and metal. I prefer my APP2 when listening to hip-hop and metal.
The headphones will be used exclusively at home in a quiet environment. I have had an eye on either Hifiman Edition XS ($330) or the Ananda V1's ($380) as they have more pronounced bass compared to my HD560s. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I am fine with using EQ to tune the headphones further. I have tried to EQ my Sennheiser's however i never quite achieved the sound i am looking for. I also have a budget of about $150 for any headphone amp i may need to drive my headphones. Currently i just use an apple dongle.
