Hi people!
I've been wondering what exactly I should practice and now how to do so I can objectively get better at the game. As I watch YouTube videos, I've heard a lot of stuff that are important for improvement, like resource management, knowing how to respond in certain scenarios, etc.
But how exactly do I have to practice this? Is this supposed to be just a matter of playing a lot of matches? For reference, I'm at elo 930, and I can usually do build orders pretty well, I go to feudal at the very least at the same time than my opponents, even faster most of the time. Usually with 21 or 18 pop scout rushes. But after almost 80 matches (I'm also fairly new) I know I already found my highest elo possible with my current skill. I usually lose when the match goes to imp, or to attacks that genuinely take me by surprise when I don't have much army to defend myself. I've been losing a lot of games lately and I think I'm going down in elo.
So, what would you say it's most important to get better? Is it knowing what to do up to castle? up to imp? is it resource management? Am I suppose to do extensive research to know every single timing and strat in the game? Or should I just shhhh and go play?
