periods getting more frequent and worse on the pill
Hi, 22F, I've been on Alesse 28 for 4 1/2 months. Over the last month and a half, I've had 3 periods that are slowly getting heavier with more intense cramping, and they start mid-pack - about 10 days before the sugar pills, then while taking the sugar pills. I've tracked my cycle very closely over the last 2 years, its always been very consistent up until now. 5 days ago, I had unprotected sex for the first time with my bf, and he finished inside of me. 2 days later, I started a heavy and very painful period (cramps are usually a 3/10 for pain, currently 8/10) and I'm not sure what's causing it as I started this pack 10 days ago, when my last period ended. Could this be part of "breakthrough bleeding" or my cycle trying to regulate itself? Or is there a chance it was caused by the sex? Not terribly worried, just very uncomfortable and a little annoyed if anything. Trying to figure out how I can prevent this from getting worse while I thug it out in the meantime.
