I’m an operator with a solid impact track record at my company, but I’ve hit a ceiling and an MBA makes sense because I want to pivot careers. I’m 31, male, and recently married.

So far, I’ve been lucky to get into:

Darden $80k
Cornell $70k
Ross $10k

I’m also post-interview with CBS.

Right now, I’m deciding between Darden and Cornell. If CBS admits me, I would strongly consider it even with no scholarship.

My goal is to pursue a path with strong long-term exit opportunities. I’m considering IB, but mostly as a means to an end rather than the final destination. I’m also open to consulting or other paths if they offer better long-term optionality.

A few questions:

- Between Darden and Cornell, which school gives me better overall career optionality?
- Does CBS make sense even with no money, or is the cost difference too hard to justify?
- Does CBS materially improve opportunities beyond the first post-MBA job?
- If I care most about long-term exit opportunities, should I be thinking more seriously about consulting instead of IB?
- Are there any hidden advantages or disadvantages of Darden, Cornell, Ross, or CBS that I should be weighing?

I wish I had a consultant who would provide actual feedback, but for now I’m at the mercy of the Reddit gods. Would appreciate honest takes.
