In need of a new boot, tried a few (Belleville C320, Goruck MACV-2, Garmont NFS) but aren’t happy with them. I’m getting a little tired of ordering boots, finding out they aren’t the right size, don’t like feature xyz, etc and returning them.

What are your processes for picking and finding the best boot for your feet? What do you look for? How do you properly test it? How do you do it if the stores near you don’t offer much to try on?
