Career advice: Where do I stand and how should I proceed?
I am a master's student at Tokyo International University and I know that it does not have a good reputation among employers in Japan. I don't know if it would change in two years. (I regret this choice).
My main goal is find a job in the software industry mainly as an SQA Engineer or similar role. I have a year of professional experience working as a full time QA engineer in an American company and 6 months as freelance/contractual. I am very basic in Japanese (n5) and learning to be better. I also am a CS grad.
How should I proceed and prepare for job hunting (keeping in mind that my university name won't be a lucrative selling point and getting fluent in Japanese in two years would be difficult).
Any type of advice that would be good for my future career is highly appreciated. Thank you.
