Hi everyone! I’d love some advice on my skincare routine and whether I’m overdoing retinoids.

I’m 25 and have generally okayish skin. My main concerns are just mild acne occasionally, acne marks, pores and texture in some areas.

Morning routine:

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser

Snail mucin

Anua azelaic acid serum

Bioderma Intensive Gel Cream

Beauty of Joseon Aqua Sunscreen

Night routine:

Same cleanser

Snail mucin

Wait ~20 minutes

Retinoid

Bioderma Intensive Gel Cream

So far, both the retinoid and azelaic acid feel soothing on my skin, no irritation, dryness, or purging.

But I keep seeing online (especially Instagram) that retinoids should only be used 2–3 times a week, especially for younger people or if acne isn’t severe.

My question is:

If my skin is tolerating daily retinoid use well, is it okay to continue using it every night?

Or should I cut back to 2–3 times a week and alternate with azelaic acid instead?

Is daily use overkill for someone my age with mild concerns?
