Long story short we have a kitten-less cat with milk and 5 orphan kittens. The mama cat had been previously caring for only one kitten
I'm worried she doesn't have enough milk for them. Will it catch up? I bottle fed them arounc 10 pm tonight (est) after picking them up at 5 pm and feeling like they weren't getting enough from mom
Thev're thought to be around 3 weeks old Mama cat is laying with them on and off and giving them licks & they've all latched at least once. Do I still get up at 2 am to give them a bottle just in case they're not getting enough? I usually sleep midniaht-8/9 am but I'II do what 1 need to for them. Just don't wanna meddle where I don't need to or get out of bed if it's unnecessary lol
Not sure what's normal behavior from a litter as a 100% newbie- they're constantly crawling all over each other and meowing, when the mama cat does lav down with them thev are like insatiable and crawlina all over her and never still. The one kitten she had before iust like chilled/napped and nursed, but she didn't have to fight for it so maybe that's why?
Mostly I'm worried about do I need to get up to feec them at some point and will I need to keep doing that every day for the next 5 weeks cause 😬
