Summons I would like in Kingdom Hearts IV

Mei Lee: a strength focused summon. A good option for sweeping a lot of enemies quickly.

Rocket and Groot: a more defensive/ranged option. Groot can create shields and attack enemies from far away with his roots and Rocket can use his blaster to stagger a lot of enemies.

Bahamut: honestly I just want this one to fulfill the prophecy from KH1 with Bahamut being selectable in the first game but not usable. Don't know much about him, but he could just function like how he does in FF.

Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather: a magic focused summon. Think Peter Pan and Tinker bell. They can autoheal and revive Sora, and use offensive and defensive magic to support Sora in battle.

And that's it. I don't really know enough about Star Wars to pick one from that universe.

Obviously the Organizations and Xehanort in the other games are, at least contextually, a true threat and if Sora doesn't stop them, then the worlds are screwed. However, I think there's just something about the atmosphere and the aesthetics of KH1 that the other games never quite recaptured that makes the heartless outbreak feel borderline hopeless. I mean, it's one of the only games where we actually see a world get lost to the darkness, and it's implied that many other worlds have already been lost to the darkness, something that we don't really see much of in the rest of the series.

I think it might have something to do with how we don't really see the true cause until late in the game where we figure out Ansem is pulling the strings the entire time, compared to 2 and 3 where we know it's the Organization and they're not subtle at all. I also think Hollow Bastion and End of the World just feel more intimidating than the other endgame worlds. Both the World that Never Was and Keyblade Graveyard are unique locations and they have their abstract qualities, but WTNW is meant to look like a city and Keyblade Graveyard is a massive mountainous desert. They don't deviate that much from real life in comparison to the final worlds of KH1, especially EOTW being entirely abstract.
