I know my app has strong components to it, but the process just seems very uncertain!
521 MCAT (514 retake), ~3.97 GPA, neuro major, CA resident, ORM, applying straight through as a rising senior
Some unique experiences: Founded a successful student org involving teaching students in the juvenile justice system. Have had leadership opportunities and strong impact with this. (~700 hours)
Medical receptionist at a private mental health clinic, TMS technician at the same clinic (~400 hours total)
Coordinator at local women's clinic for unhoused woman (not a very clinical role but some patient stories)
Research: first author pub in a very small journal, 1 second author pub in a great journal (although I didn't contribute much to the research, just was in the lab for a while). (~700 hours in total for all research)
Awards: Leadership award for my school, Outstanding student org award, Invited to speak/teach abroad for my student org, top 20% award for a neuro Ideation
Shadowing: ~100 hours total across psychiatry, pediatrics, OBGYN, geriatrics
Somewhat strong narrative involving experience working with trauma impacted folks.
