What should I clean these floors with?
Hi! just moved into this rental and this is the first time that I would be cleaning the floors. The landlord said that they just redid the hardwood floors so I would like to respect the work that was put into it and not accidentally use a cleaner or cleaning product that would ruin the finish or take off the topcoat. The topcoat is super fragile. There’s already several scratches on the floor, not even from furniture, but just from my cat sliding on it. It is real hardwood not LVP or fake wood floor flooring.
this is the first place that I have lived in with real hardwood floors. I’ve only ever had carpet laminate or vinyl floors before and I was just used a swiffer wet and a carpet shampooer, but these are real hardwood and this is an antique home. It was built in the 1910 so I would really like to do my best to not harm the wood.
