3 of 4 Behringer products have been successfully registered through the Behringer/Music Tribe chatbot.

The 4th product, a 3 microphone set in a travel box (XM1800), could not be registered due to an error message that the serial number on the product box was not valid. The product number (XM1800) appeared to be recognized.

A different microphone (SL84C) was successfully registered using the serial number on the product box.

Chatbox issues:

No reference number for future reference.

No date and timestamps.

No email summary.

After requesting elevation to human agent, no time estimate was provided.

After 15 minutes I disconnected when the value of my time exceeded the value of the XM1800 product.

Chatbox summary:

25% failure rate (1 of 4 failed).

Product registration does not benefit from AI since it has been possible to fill out database connected forms since the last century without AI chatbots.

No email reply from Behringer/Music Tribe so there is no confidence that this problem will ever be solved.

Extremely poor customer service will motivate customers to buy products from other companies.

What has your experience been with the Behringer/Music Tribe AI chatbot?

After receiving a Wing Compact 5 days ago, upgrading the firmware to 3.0.6, and installing Windows ASIO v5.72.0, the Wing ASIO driver has operated properly with Cubase 14 Pro on a Windows 10 PC.

The primary reason for choosing the Wing Compact was the 24 Midas input channels for both live sound and recording. Although sample rates above 44.1 and 48 KHz could be important in some situations, a portable mixer/recorder with 24 pre-amps is very useful.

Based upon early evaluation, it appears as if the Wing-Live dual SD card recorder can be routed as a destination for inputs and buses, and the Wing-Live player can be routed to a USB PC for use with Cubase.

It appears that on-location (i.e. out-of-studio) multi-track recording can be accomplished with Cubase on a laptop or Wing-Live or both.

What experiences have Wing users had with multi-track on-location recording concurrent with live sound?
