Currently in the process of building a house in regional Victoria. Rocked up this afternoon to 2 bollards installed next to our gas meter.
I have researched as much as I can but cannot seem to find any information other than they need to be installed if near a driveway or are deemed a risk of vehicles crashing into it.
Context: We are 7m away from the road, our drive way is on the other side of the house, and we only have 2m of space on the gas meter side of the house. Half of it will be the concrete pathway, and the rest will just be a garden, no vehicle will be going down that side of the house. I have driven around the estate and no one else with gas meters have any bollards installed, and some are much closer to the road.
I have reached out to my builder but they generally don’t get back until Monday. Just wanting to know if anyone else has had this issue.
