So i had my first abnormal pap smear in 3 months ago and found out hpv positive, was never told what strains. I had a colposcopy april 1st, I got my results about 3 weeks later and was told I had "high grade changes" from both biopsy sites and again wasn't told any other info like some other people on here seem to know..and now they have scheduled me for a leep in 2 days. I'm super nervous, they do it awake with just local, lidocaine and epinephrine which I cant have because of SVT issues so the nurse said "theres other things we can use" my biopsy i weirdly didnt feel a thing both times she did it so im wondering if anyone can ease my mind a bit about the Leep...when given local did you feel anything besides the first needles? Any burning? What was your recovery like, and did you have anything ither than the epinephrine? i was only able to book off the day of and day after, and my job is very physical so I'm kind of nervous for that as well.
