Recently been working as a new cca, supervisor has called me off since Thursday. I’ve had the last 3-4 working scheduled days off. Now today I was let know not to come in. Then I have the next scheduled two days off. I’ve heard we are overstaffed and the llvs constantly need repair but I did not expect the hours to be this low. Not really sure what to do besides look for a second job.

Also, I’m not the only new cca dealing with this in our main office. Right now we have 31 ccas including 3 new ccas coming in pretty soon, after their academy. It almost feels like I will get zero hours this week. Also, it sort of stunts my learning as a newbie, how am I suppose to learn and make mistakes with repetition when I’m barely working a week in-between delivering mail. Since, my first day alone (beginning of April). I’ve only had two other working days delivering mail by myself, outside of an extra Oji day and Ryder truck shadow days.

Then to top it all off I had two scheduled days different weeks to work and two different supervisors failed to reach out to me over the phone to tell me not to come in to work. While I showed up to work wasting my gas. I asked to verify my number which was correct, and one showed me they had my number and we tested in which it worked lmao. But, I did not receive their call or message. I even double checked my phone before leaving for work.

Luckily, the third time this happened the supervisor on shift, a third different one found me work. I understand people make mistakes, and we have a lot of ccas but 3 times managing not to text or call me to not come in to work is annoying. The last pay period was better with hours I was getting at-least 30 so maybe it will improve? Any advice? Anybody else been through this during their 90 day?
