Visiting Next Weekend

Kansan here.. don’t worry, I come in peace! I will be in and around you next weekend. We will be visiting family to celebrate my niece. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on kid friendly things to do next Saturday and Sunday.

Looking for ideas on:

Food - what are the best local restaurants? Hole in the wall places okay! I’m talking, the place you’d take your best friend or girlfriend to show off how cool you are.. kid friendly is a perk.

Local attractions - I don’t care about your mall, your crowded theme park or your uncles neighborhood with seasonal decorations. I am into: Flea market or farmers markets that you can’t miss. Kid friendly museums, zoo, etc that surprised you with how amazing they are! Other hidden gems.

Your favorites - what do the locals enjoy? Nice hiking spot?

A decade plus ago, I really enjoyed OKC, just definitely out of touch with what you have to offer in the past 10 to 12 years. Thank you! Looking forward to your responses!

Had 1 previous loan with borrower, who paid on time. He reached out for a second loan. A day before repayment, asks for a top off of said loan to get by until pay day. Evening of due date I reach out to see if we are good, or if he needed more time. An hour later he had deleted his entire Reddit account. I Text him, he was shocked I could still read our messages because he thought they were deleted (always turn on Persistent Messaging in chat). Gave him options to repay or deal with authorities. Still have not received payment.

Seems almost silly to have to make this post, but here we are. I have made multiple attempts to make contact with borrower over the course of the past 5 days with no response since day loan repayment was due.

For those reading: As a lender I do my best to be reasonable and understanding. I’m human, so I understand life happens sometimes, but at the very least - honestly communicate with your lender, give them a plan on how you will make it right, keep us in the loop and be a man or woman of your word. This whole thing is built off of trust, kindness and understanding of human decency and need. Don’t take advantage. Don’t make your lender chase you for repayment that you agreed to terms on.
