Hi r/iosapps,

I’m an indie developer building an iOS app called Chuckle for Twitter/X.

I posted here before when the app was still relatively early, and since then I’ve continued improving it based on feedback. My goal hasn’t changed: I wanted a cleaner, more customizable way to browse Twitter/X on iPhone and iPad — without ads, with better media tools, and with more control over the reading experience.

What I’ve been focusing on recently:

• AI translation

Posts can be translated using DeepL or AI models, which makes it easier to follow accounts and discussions in different languages.

• A cleaner timeline

You can hide reposts and reduce noise when browsing the home feed.

• Deep reading customization

Font size, font style, line spacing, tweet layout, themes, dark/black mode, and custom colors can all be adjusted.

• Media tools

Photos, videos, and GIFs can be saved more easily, including original media. There are also options like saving tweet media by username.

• Better video experience

Background playback, casting, gesture controls, double-tap seek, long-press 2x speed, and PiP support.

• Browsing history

You can quickly revisit posts and profiles you’ve opened before.

• Multi-account support

Useful if you switch between different Twitter/X accounts.

I know third-party Twitter/X clients are a niche category now, but I still think there’s room for a focused app built around reading, customization, and a smoother browsing experience.

Pricing transparency:

Free 7-day trial after first login

$15/year for the first year

$18/year after that

I’d really appreciate feedback from daily Twitter/X users — especially around timeline browsing, translation, media saving, and customization.

Also happy to answer any questions about the design or technical decisions behind the app.
